About this course

Free Level 2 Awareness of Mental Health Problems Course. Study online, at your own pace, around your existing commitments.

The course covers around 160 hours of study. You'll explore the main types of mental health problems, what causes them, and how they affect people's lives. You'll also look at how to support someone experiencing mental ill health, including in a workplace setting. The course is open to adults aged 19 or over who have lived in the EU for at least three years before starting.

You'll finish with an NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems.

This course is for anyone wanting to raise their awareness of mental health and the problems that can cause mental ill health. It's useful for anyone looking to develop skills to support their role in the workplace where they may work or interact with individuals with mental-health problems.

Entry requirements

The prospective learner has to be aged 19 and above, and has lived in the EU for at least 3 years at the start of the course.

How you will learn

You study entirely online, working through written materials and activities at your own pace. Assessment is through written assignments and knowledge checks completed online. You submit your work digitally, and a tutor reviews it against the qualification requirements. There are no exams to sit in person.
