About this course

Free Level 1 Preparation for Work in Adult Social Care Course. Work-based training at your workplace. You'll need to be aged 19 or over; you'll have an initial assessment at the start to make sure the course is the right fit and to plan your support. The course runs over 5 days and covers the core knowledge and skills you need to work in adult social care. It introduces the range of roles in the sector and what they involve day to day. A solid starting point if you're new to care work or moving into the sector.

We’ll introduce you to the wide variety of exciting and supportive roles to help inform your career plans and develop your awareness of what’s required to be a successful adult social care worker.

The course will be led by our specialist and passionate Adult Social Care Trainers who all have significant sector experience. You can be confident of being trained by experts, guiding you through the course.
