Free Level 1 Mental Health and Wellbeing Course in Rotherham. Classes run at CTS Training (Manvers - Rotherham), during the day with flexible attendance. This free mental health and wellbeing course for adults and school leavers aged 16 to 19, or 19 to 24 years old with an Education, Health Care Plan, covers the basics of mental health and wellbeing. The course takes around 12 hours in total. It's a practical introduction to understanding mental health, recognising signs of poor wellbeing, and knowing where to turn for support.

Or 19-24 with an Education, Health Care Plan, have evidence that you legally reside in the UK, are you a school leaver who didnt quite get the grades when you left school at or before year 11 or sixth form or college? No matter how well you did prior, we can help you get where you want to be on a CTS Study Programme to help you gain the qualifications & confidence you may need for the future.
What you will learn
You'll understand what mental health and wellbeing mean in everyday life.
You'll recognise common signs that someone may be struggling with their mental health.
You'll learn about factors that affect mental health, both positive and negative.
You'll explore ways to support your own wellbeing.
You'll find out how to signpost yourself or others to appropriate help and support.
How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at the centre. Learning is delivered face to face, with group discussion and tutor-led activities. Assessment is through a short knowledge-based task or written questions to check your understanding of mental health and wellbeing topics. The flexible study pattern means sessions can be arranged to suit your timetable.
What you will need to bring
The centre will provide most materials. CTS Training (Manvers - Rotherham) will confirm anything else you need before you start.
