Greater Manchester residents only. We offer a range of courses and qualifications to suit your needs and to help you gain skills to increase your employment prospects at a pace and time to suit you. You can improve your Maths skills and gain nationally recognised qualifications from Entry 1 up to Level 2. These qualifications can provide a stepping stone towards a Maths GCSE.

What you will learn

  • You'll use measures including length, weight, capacity and time.
  • You'll solve practical maths problems in everyday and work contexts.
  • You'll check and correct your own calculations.

How you will learn

You'll learn through classroom sessions at Oldham Library and Lifelong Learning Centre. Learning is delivered face to face, with tasks and activities that apply maths to practical situations. Assessment is through coursework and tasks completed during the course. There is no formal written exam.

The centre will provide most materials. Oldham Library and Lifelong Learning Centre will confirm anything else you need before you start.
