Free Functional Skills English Level 1 in Oldham. Evening classes run at Oldham Library & Lifelong Learning Centre, so you can fit study around work or other commitments. You can improve your English skills and gain a nationally recognised qualification from Entry 1 up to Level 2. These can provide a stepping stone towards an English Language GCSE.

How you will learn
Classes are delivered in a classroom at Oldham Library & Lifelong Learning Centre. You'll learn through a mix of guided activities, reading and writing tasks, and group work. Assessment is by externally set and marked reading and writing tests, plus a speaking, listening, and communication component. You must pass all components to achieve the qualification.
