Free Level 1 Maths Course in Northallerton. Evening maths classes run at Northallerton Adult Education, so you can fit study around work or other commitments. Entry requirements

To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at

  • You'll interpret and use data presented in charts, tables, and graphs
  • You'll solve practical maths problems in everyday and work contexts
  • You'll use measures, including length, weight, capacity, and time
  • You'll apply basic geometry, including shapes, space, and simple calculations

How you will learn

Classes are classroom based and run in the evening at Northallerton Adult Education. Assessment is through portfolio or coursework rather than a formal exam. You'll complete tasks and activities that demonstrate your maths skills throughout the course. There is no end exam for this qualification.
