Free Level 1 Maths Course in Catterick Garrison. Classes run at Catterick Library & Information Centre. Daytime sessions run part-time, so you can fit study around other commitments. Entry requirements

To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at

What you will learn

  • You'll work with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • You'll use basic measures, including length, weight, and time.
  • You'll read and interpret simple charts, tables, and graphs.
  • You'll solve everyday maths problems using the four operations.
  • You'll apply maths to practical, real-life situations.

How you will learn

You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at Catterick Library & Information Centre. Assessment is portfolio-based rather than exam-based, so you build evidence of your skills as you go. Your tutor will guide you through tasks and activities during class time.
