Who this course is for
This Level 1 suite of Awards in aspects of English is aimed at adults and young people who wish to improve
their English. The Awards are intended to aid progression, either to further study through English
Functional Skills or GCSE English qualifications. The individual stand-alone units have been mapped to the
Adult Literacy Core Curriculum. A Level 1 Certificate in English Skills is also available. This is suitable for
those who wish to improve all aspects of their English.
