Employability Skills qualifications are designed to support an individual successfully gaining a job, progressing in a chosen field, preparing the individual for further study and supporting the development of techniques required for successful independent living.

This qualification is aimed at anyone who wants to live a more independent life, progress in education and/or their employment prospects; get into a job, develop on the job or move onto the next job, as they progress along the career ladder.

Entry requirements

Must be aged 16 to 18 and you don't need any previous experience in the industry already.

How you will learn

You'll learn in a classroom at Nova Training Birmingham, with full-time daytime sessions across 13 weeks. Assessment is through coursework and practical tasks completed during the course. There are no formal written exams. Your progress is assessed as you work through each unit, covering topics such as job applications, workplace behaviour, and personal development.
