Level 1 Employability Skills Course in Loughborough. Classes run at Main Campus, full-time during the day, over one year. Fees may apply depending on your age and circumstances. Learners aged 16 to 18 years old may be entitled to fee remission, and some adult learners may also be eligible. This employability skills qualification is designed for learners with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) who want an additional year in general education before moving on to further study. You'll build the study and work-readiness skills needed to progress to a Level 1 Foundation Learning course or another Level 1 introductory programme.
Who this course is for
This full-time course is aimed at 16-24-year-olds with an Education, Health
and Care Plan (EHCP) who would benefit from an additional year in general
education. Students develop the employability and study skills required to
progress on to a Level 1 qualification in Foundation Learning or on to another
Level 1 introductory course.
Entry requirements
No formal entry requirements but students will generally be able to
demonstrate English skills at Entry Level 3 and demonstrate a willingness to
learn and progress.
Please note: This course is aimed at learners aged 16-18 and adult learners
with an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) identifying it as their chosen

How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at Main Campus. Assessment is ongoing throughout the course and is based on coursework, tasks, and practical activities rather than formal exams. Your progress will be reviewed regularly to make sure you're on track to complete the City and Guilds Level 1 Award in Employability Skills.
