Free Level 1 Bricklaying Course in Hereford. Classes run at Herefordshire College, full-time during the day. This is a physically demanding, hands-on course. You'll spend most of your time in practical bricklaying classes, learning the core skills of the trade. The course runs for one year. To enrol, you'll need a minimum of four GCSEs at grades 1 or 2, including English and maths, or a Foundation or Entry Level 3 qualification with good progress in English and maths.

The first step onto the ladder of the construction sector for many, our Level 1 Bricklaying course is delivered by skilled and enthusiastic staff who have a depth of industry-specific knowledge. Due to the nature of the construction industry, this is a physically challenging course which is predominantly delivered in a practical format.
Entry requirements

How you will learn
Most of your learning is practical and classroom based at Herefordshire College. You'll develop skills through hands-on bricklaying tasks, supported by taught sessions covering underpinning knowledge. Assessment includes practical tasks and written or knowledge-based assessments. The course is predominantly delivered in a practical format, reflecting the physical nature of construction work.
