This free accounting course for adults covers computerised accounting using Sage, giving you a practical introduction to bookkeeping and accounts software. The course runs over 8 weeks. You'll have an initial assessment to confirm the Level 1 Accounting Qualification is the right starting point for you. Funding is available for learners aged 19 or over, subject to eligibility based on where you live and your income.
Who this course is for
This is an 8-week accredited distance learning course for those who wish to gain a Sage Accounts qualification at a time that suits them.
Entry requirements
To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice,further eligibility may be linked to where you live and your individual income.
What you will learn

How you will learn
You'll attend classroom-based accounting classes at the centre. Learning is practical and hands-on, using Sage accounts software. Assessment is through coursework and practical tasks completed during the course. There are no formal written exams. Your tutor will guide you through each topic at a manageable pace across the 8 weeks.
