What you will learn
You'll read and understand different types of texts, including everyday documents and workplace materials.
You'll write clearly for different purposes, such as letters, emails, and short reports.
You'll develop your spelling, punctuation, and grammar at Level 1 standard.
You'll practise speaking and listening skills, including taking part in discussions and following instructions.
You'll build confidence presenting information clearly to others.
You'll learn to identify the main points and purpose in written texts.
How you will learn
This is a blended course. You'll study some material online in your own time and attend daytime classes at B-Skill Darlington for the rest. Assessment is through a formal written exam and a speaking and listening assessment. Both are set and marked externally by NCFE. Your tutor will track your progress throughout and help you prepare for each assessment.
