Who this course is for

You need to be 19 or over on the 31st of August 2025. Entry Requirements You will need to complete an online initial assessment. This will help us place you on the correct course. Attendance This course runs two days a week. Each lesson is 2.5 hours long. The course runs for 22 weeks from January to July. You will be required to attend at least 90% of your classes. Should your attendance fall below this, your place on the course may be at risk. This is an academic course, and you must allow time for private study at home of at least 2 hours per week.

How you will learn

Classes are classroom-based and run two days a week. You'll take part in individual tasks, pair exercises, and group activities. The course includes regular homework and at least two hours of private study per week. Assessment is by Trinity College London exam, covering speaking and listening as a spoken exam and writing as a separate written exam. You'll complete an online initial assessment before the course starts to confirm this is the right level for you.

What you will need to bring

You'll need a ring binder, lined paper, pens and pencils, and access to a computer or laptop with a printer. Sunbury Adult Learning Centre will confirm anything else before you start.
