Free Entry Level 3 ESOL Skills for Life: Speaking and Listening in Northallerton. Evening classes run at Skipton Adult Learning and Skills Service, so you can fit study around work or other commitments. Over 22 weeks, you'll develop your spoken English and listening skills for everyday life and work. You'll also build your understanding of English grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact
What you will learn
You'll develop your spoken English for everyday situations and the workplace.
You'll practise listening and responding clearly in conversations.
You'll build your understanding of English grammar and vocabulary.
You'll improve your pronunciation to communicate more clearly.
You'll learn how to take part in discussions and exchanges in English.
How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions in the evening. Assessment is through observed speaking and listening tasks, where you demonstrate your ability to communicate in English. There is no written exam for this Award. Your tutor will assess your spoken English directly during the course.
