About this course

Free Entry Level 3 Construction Course in Wigan. Classes run at Wigan and Leigh College The Skills Academy, full-time during the day.

The course is free for 16 to 18 year olds. No previous knowledge or experience is needed. You'll explore a range of construction trades, including bricklaying, carpentry, painting and decorating, and plastering. This gives you a chance to try different areas before choosing a trade to focus on. The course runs for 35 weeks.

You'll finish with a NOCN Certificate in Introduction to Construction at Entry Level 3.

Who this course is for

This qualification are suitable for 16-19 year olds, or for individuals of any age wanting an introduction to the variety of construction trades, to gain skills in those areas and perhaps to decide which trade is the right one to pursue a career in. No previous knowledge or experience is required.
