About this course

Free Entry Level 2 Functional Skills Maths in Birmingham. Classes run at Queen Alexandra College. High Needs Students with EHC Plan and referral through Local Authority OR apply directly to College to apply for initial assessment. This will form part of a wider study programme which will include therapies and specialist support for LLDD

What you will learn

  • You'll work with whole numbers, including counting, ordering, and simple calculations.
  • You'll handle money and understand basic budgeting in everyday situations.
  • You'll read and use simple charts, tables, and graphs.
  • You'll measure length, weight, capacity, and time using common units.
  • You'll solve straightforward maths problems in real everyday contexts.

How you will learn

You'll learn through classroom-based sessions with specialist support tailored to your needs. Assessment for the Pearson Edexcel Functional Skills Qualification in Mathematics (Entry 2) is through a written task or on-screen test. Your wider study programme also includes therapies and specialist LLDD support alongside your maths learning.
