Free Functional Skills English Entry Level 1 in Grays. Classes run at TCHC Thurrock GAPS Centre. You must be enrolled on a vocational qualification at one of the GAPS centres to join. The course covers reading, writing, and speaking and listening, with an assessment in each area. It runs for 55 hours of daytime study. You'll also get support with cost-of-living budgeting.

Young people aged 16-18 (and 16-24 with an EHCP) who would like to gain a qualification in Functional Skills English.

How you will learn
You'll study in a classroom at TCHC Thurrock GAPS Centre during the day. There are three separate assessments: one for reading, one for writing, and one for speaking and listening. Each assessment is tied directly to the skills covered in that part of the course.
