To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact

What you will learn

  • You'll practise listening and responding clearly in conversations.
  • You'll build your knowledge of English grammar and vocabulary.
  • You'll improve your pronunciation to communicate more clearly.
  • You'll gain confidence taking part in discussions and exchanges in English.

How you will learn

Classes are held in person at Harrogate Civic Centre on evenings throughout the 22-week course. You'll learn through speaking and listening activities in a classroom setting. Assessment is through practical speaking and listening tasks that reflect real-life situations. There is no written exam for this qualification.
