Free BTEC Level 3 Art and Design Course in Hillingdon. Classes run full-time at Hewens College, five days a week during the day. The course takes one year to complete. You'll need at least five GCSEs at grades 9 to 4, including grade 4 in both English and Maths. If you haven't studied BTEC Art and Design before, you'll submit a portfolio as part of the entry process. The course covers practical and critical skills across a range of art and design disciplines.

Entry requirements
A minimum of 5 GCSEs grades 9-4, including a Grade 4 in GCSE English and a Grade 4 in GCSE Mathematics. Students who have not studied BTEC Art and Design before will be required to submit a portfolio which will be assessed upon entry.

How you will learn
You'll learn through studio-based practical work, projects, and critical study. Assessment is mainly through a portfolio of coursework built up over the year, alongside written assignments and personal statements. There are no traditional written exams for most units. Your portfolio is central to how your work is assessed, so you'll be developing and refining it throughout the course.
