Free BTEC Level 3 Art and Design Course in Hillingdon. Classes run full-time at De Salis Studio College, five days a week during the day. This level 3 btec art and design course takes two years to complete. You'll build a broad foundation across art, design, and creative practice, developing both practical skills and critical thinking. The Pearson Edexcel btec art and design qualification is widely used as a route into university art and design programmes or creative industry roles. To apply, you'll need at least five GCSEs at grades 9 to 4, including grade 4 in English and Maths. New applicants without prior BTEC Art and Design study will need to submit a portfolio for assessment.

Entry requirements
A minimum of 5 GCSEs grades 9-4, including a Grade 4 in GCSE English and a Grade 4 in GCSE Mathematics. Students who have not studied BTEC Art and Design before will be required to submit a portfolio which will be assessed upon entry.

How you will learn
Learning is classroom-based, with studio sessions at the centre. Assessment is primarily through coursework and a portfolio of practical work built up over the two years. You'll also complete written assignments that show your understanding of art and design contexts and history. There are no written exams for most units. Work is assessed by your tutors and moderated externally by Pearson Edexcel.
