About this course

Free AAT Level 2 Bookkeeping Course in Burton-on-Trent. Classes run at Burton Town Centre Campus, full-time during the day. The course is free if you are 16 to 18 years old. If you are 19 or over, fees may apply. Over 36 weeks, you will cover bookkeeping, payroll, accounting software, and costing, building the practical skills employers ask for. You will also develop your Microsoft Excel skills. Entry requires a minimum of four GCSEs at grade D or above, or Level 1 Functional Skills in English and maths, plus a successful interview and initial assessment.

Who this course is for

The Level 2 Diploma in Accounting and Business offers students the opportunity to gain the skills demanded by employers, whilst achieving a nationally recognised qualification that could ultimately lead to the full AAT Accounting Qualification. The course will provide you with a range of basic accountancy, payroll and employability skills to support your entry into the workplace

Entry requirements

Minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade D or above (if this does not include English and maths these MUST be studied as part of the Level 2 programme) or Level 1 Functional Skills equivalent in English and maths; successful interview and initial assessment; successful completion of Level 1 programme (progressing learners).
