AAT Level 2 Bookkeeping Course in Derby. Classes run at Derby College, full-time during the day over 36 weeks. You'll build the bookkeeping knowledge and skills needed to work in accountancy and finance. The course covers typical bookkeeping transactions and tasks, and introduces how accounting software automates those tasks. To join, you'll need GCSE grade 4 or above in Maths and English Language, plus two other GCSEs at grade 4 or above, and a successful interview at enrolment. AAT also recommends completing the AAT Skillcheck before you start.
Who this course is for
This is a Level 2 qualification suitable for school leavers and will help students to develop a strong foundation of the bookkeeping knowledge and skills needed to work in accountancy and finance or to go on to study higher-level bookkeeping or accountancy. Students completing this qualification will be able to carry out typical bookkeeping transactions and tasks with confidence. Entry requirements
You will need a minimum of GCSE grade 4 in Maths and GCSE Grade 4 in English Language as well as two other GCSE's at grade 4 or above. Successful interview at enrolment.You will be required to complete an interview prior to the course and AAT recommends that students use AAT Skillcheck to ensure that they’re ready to start on a particular qualification. The AAT Skillcheck will also be completed during the Induction Week with teaching staff.

How you will learn
You'll study in the classroom at Derby College, with teaching staff guiding you through bookkeeping theory and practical tasks. You'll also complete the AAT Skillcheck during induction week with teaching staff to confirm you're working at the right level.
