About this course

Electrical Installations Inspection, Testing and Certification Course. Work-based training at your workplace. This five-day course is designed for electricians already working in the industry who need to carry out periodic inspection, testing and certification of existing electrical installations. You'll cover safe isolation of circuits, testing energised installations, inspecting and recording installation condition, and interpreting test results. The course builds directly on your on-the-job experience, making it practical and immediately applicable to your work.

Who this course is for

This course will cover the periodic inspection and testing of an existing installation. Requirements for the safe isolation of electrical circuits and installations, requirements for testing, inspecting and recording the condition of electrical installations, the safe testing of electrical installations which are in service, testing energised installations, understand and interpreting test results

How you will learn

Training is delivered in a work-based setting, applying inspection and testing procedures to real electrical installations. Learning is hands-on and practical throughout. Assessment covers both knowledge and practical competence, including safe isolation procedures, testing methods, and the accurate interpretation and recording of results. Your employer supports your learning as you work through the five-day programme.
