About this course

AAT Level 4 Accounting Course. Study online, at your own pace, over 12 months. This is the highest level of the AAT accounting qualification. You get recorded video lectures covering all five units, plus live revision sessions where you can ask questions in real time. Course books and workbooks are delivered to your home. Exam fees are not included in the course cost. A Level 3 qualification in accounting or finance is preferable before you start. You'll cover financial statements, budgets, financial performance, and optional units such as audit and assurance.

Who this course is for

The AAT qualification is universally respected and internationally recognised for providing students with extensive practical accountancy training. The Level 4 Diploma extends the knowledge and understanding previously gained in financial management accounting, by developing complex application and analytical skills in these areas. The AAT L4 qualification leads on from the L3 qualification. Modules include: financial statements, budgets & financial performance. Optional units allow you to specialise in tax, audit, treasury etc. The AAT Level 4 qualification provides a launchpad into CIMA, ACCA or ICAEW

What you will learn

  • You'll develop complex skills in financial statements preparation.
  • You'll apply budgeting techniques and analyse financial performance.
  • You'll study optional specialist units, including audit and assurance or cash and financial management.
  • You'll build analytical skills that extend your Level 3 accounting knowledge.
  • You'll practise through workbook activities covering all five units of the qualification.

How you will learn

You study through recorded video lectures for each of the five units, available on demand through an online learning portal for 12 months. You also attend live online revision sessions, one per unit, where you can ask questions in real time. All live sessions are recorded. Tutorial support by email is available throughout the year. Assessment is by AAT examinations, which you book and sit separately. Exam fees are not included.

What you will need to bring

Five course books and five workbooks are delivered to your home address. Digital access to the books is also included. You will need to budget separately for AAT exam fees, which are not covered by the course cost. Osborne Training Centre will confirm anything else you need before you start.
