AAT Level 4 Accounting Course in Wakefield. Evening classes run at Wakefield College, so you can study around your existing job. This is the level 4 AAT accounting qualification that takes accounting technicians to professional level. The course runs part-time over 15 months. You'll need to have completed the AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting, hold GCSEs at grade 4 or above in English and Maths, and be working in a finance or accounting role. Completing both the Advanced and Professional Diplomas, alongside relevant work experience, puts you on the path to AAT membership and typically earns exam exemptions from the chartered accounting bodies.

Who this course is for

The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is a well-respected and recognised qualification within the accounting profession. It is recognised as a major qualification for Technician level accounting staff. Students who gain their Advanced Diploma and their Professional Diploma and who have relevant accounting work experience can apply for membership of the AAT and will normally get exam exemptions from the Chartered Accounting Bodies.

The Professional Diploma covers financial team leader skills, including financial statements for limited companies, complex management accounts tasks, management skills and specialist learning areas.

Learning activities will be carried out in a blended approach both in college and self study Online resources will be available, and various teaching aids will be used.

Students will be expected to do six hours per week self-directed study.

You will need to have successfully completed the AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting

AND

GCSEs at Grade 9-4 in English and Maths.

AND

Have a job role in Finance or Accounting.
