About this course

AAT Level 3 Accounting Course. Study online, with fortnightly virtual classroom sessions alongside independent online learning. This level 3 aat accounting qualification builds on AAT Level 2 and deepens your knowledge of accounting practice. You'll need the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting, an equivalent bookkeeping qualification, or substantial industry experience to enrol. An Advanced Learner Loan may be available to help with fees. The course typically takes one year to complete.

Who this course is for

This AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) advanced level course is a mid-level accounting qualification, ideal for anyone who is looking to advance their existing knowledge of accounting. This flexible course is delivered in partnership with Mindful Education, and combines independent online learning with regular virtual classroom sessions with an Activate Learning tutor – with real-time access to your tutor and fellow learners. Virtual classroom attendance is fortnightly, on every other Monday, 6pm to 8pm. This Level 3 course is part of the Free Courses for Jobs initiative and is fully funded for eligible learners. Alternatively, you can apply for an advanced learner loan to cover the cost of studying this course. Please ask a member of the college staff for more information. Entry requirements

How you will learn

You study independently online and attend fortnightly virtual classroom sessions with a tutor. The virtual sessions give you real-time contact with your tutor and other learners. Assessment is through a combination of computer-based exams and synoptic assessments set by AAT. You complete these at an approved assessment venue when you are ready.
