AAT Level 2 Accounting Course in Grays. Evening classes run at South Essex College of Further and Higher Education, combining online study with fortnightly classroom sessions. This blended approach lets you fit your learning around other commitments. The course runs over 10 months part-time and covers double entry bookkeeping, basic costing principles, and accounting software. You'll need to be able to work to a Level 2 standard in maths and English, and have a working knowledge of Excel and Word. A skills test is part of the application process. Entry requirements

Ability to work to a Level 2 standard in Maths and English and a working knowledge of Excel and Word. A skills test to assess your suitability for the course. Please note AAT will not register anyone as a member if you have any of the following; you have been made bankrupt; entered into an agreement with creditors; any criminal convictions; found guilty of an offence under the Companies Act and Financial Services Act; or been issued a County Court Judgment.

How you will learn

This is a blended course. You'll study online at times that suit you, then attend face-to-face sessions at the college on a fortnightly basis, on Thursday evenings. Assessment is by computer-based tests set by AAT. The cost covers one sitting of each assessment. If you need to resit, an additional fee applies.

What you will need to bring

The centre will provide most materials. South Essex College of Further and Higher Education will confirm anything else you need before you start. You'll need access to a computer or device for the online study elements, and a working knowledge of Excel and Word is expected before you begin.
