About this course

Level 5 Leadership for the Children and Young People's Workforce - Early Years (Management Course. Work-based training at your workplace. The course costs £8,000, but funding is available depending on eligibility. If your setting is non-levy, it may only need to contribute 5% of the course cost, and you pay nothing. You'll need a Level 3 qualification and experience of leading a team in early years to start. Over 25 months, you'll develop leadership and management skills across legislation, enabling environments, and children's learning and development.

Entry requirements

Level 3 qualification, sufficient knowledge and experience of successfully leading a team in the early years

How you will learn

You train in your workplace. A tutor observes you at work, either remotely or face-to-face, and sets coursework through an e-learning platform. You'll also attend virtual masterclasses and, where applicable, face-to-face teaching sessions. Your tutor agrees submission timings with you. All 16 mandatory occupational duties must be completed and evidenced to achieve the qualification.
