Level 4 IQA Course. Work-based training at your workplace. You study while working in a role where you assess or quality-assure others, putting learning into practice from day one. The course develops your skills in monitoring and improving assessment processes within your organisation. It typically takes 10 months to complete. Entry requirements include recognised occupational competency plus GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above, or an equivalent qualification. You'll also need to work independently and communicate well with colleagues.

How you will learn
Learning takes place in your workplace. You'll build a portfolio of evidence drawn from your day-to-day quality assurance work. Assessment includes observations of your practice, professional discussions, and written assignments. You'll apply what you learn directly to your job role, with tasks set around real quality assurance activities you carry out at work.

The centre will provide most materials. Lancaster and Morecambe College will confirm anything else you need before you start.
