About this course

Level 4 IQA Course in Aldershot. Classes run at 4 Rifles Normandy Barracks, daytime on a flexible schedule. This City and Guilds IQA qualification is for people who are already skilled or qualified in a work-related area and want to move into quality assurance of assessment. You'll need to be 19 or over, and have a Level 3 NVQ or relevant experience in your subject area. The course runs over 12 months.

Who this course is for

This is an introductory course for people who are skilled and qualified in a work related area and want to learn to teach or train others. Known as a 'Gateway' course, it won't equip you to be a fully qualified teacher or trainer, but it is the first step to accessing higher level courses that will do so.

Entry requirements

You need to be 19 years or over. You should have achieved or be aiming to achieve a qualification at NVQ level 3 and/or have experience in the subject/skill you wish to teach.

How you will learn

You'll study in a classroom at 4 Rifles Normandy Barracks, with flexible daytime attendance over 12 months. Assessment is based on a portfolio of evidence drawn from your workplace practice, showing how you plan, carry out, and evaluate internal quality assurance activity. You'll also complete written assignments and professional discussions with your assessor.
