Level 3 Understanding Autism Course. Study online at your own pace, fitting learning around your work and home life. The course typically takes 31 weeks. You'll cover autism diagnosis and characteristics, legislative frameworks, and how to support individuals effectively. Topics include positive behavioural support, managing transitions for young people moving into adulthood, and supporting people with autism into employment. You'll also explore the services available to individuals with autism and their families. This level 3 understanding autism qualification is awarded by TQUK.

Who this course is for

Through the Level 3 Understanding Autism, you will develop and expand your knowledge of autism by looking at the diagnosis and characteristics, legislative frameworks and interventions and support for individuals. You will delve into looking at positive behavioural support and support and management of transitions for young people into adulthood or individuals with autism making their way into employment. You will learn about services available to individuals with autism and their families and also, take a deep look into safeguarding and how to support the health, safety and well-being of the individuals.

This course is ideal for an individual wishing to develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Autism to support their progression into employment within health and social care or education sectors. Course units:

You will ideally need to have access to Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Publisher and PowerPoint as you may need to download and edit documents for your online course
