Level 3 Swedish Massage Course in Derby. Classes run at The White Rose School of Beauty Derby, daytime with flexible study. This VTCT swedish massage qualification covers the skills and knowledge needed to work as a massage therapist. You'll study massage techniques, client consultation, and the anatomy and physiology that underpins safe practice. The course runs over 72 hours. Entry is open to those aged 16 years or over with a relevant Level 2 qualification in complementary therapy, or via a skills test and interview.

This qualification is designed for learners aged 16 years or over and will support you to gain employment as a beauty (Swedish massage) therapist as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role.
Entry requirements
Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 2 qualification in complementary therapy and/or a successful skills test and interview.

You'll learn Swedish massage techniques including effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, and friction.
You'll study anatomy and physiology relevant to massage therapy.
You'll develop client consultation skills, including health screening and aftercare advice.
You'll learn how to adapt treatments to suit individual client needs.

You'll build knowledge of contraindications and when to refer clients to other professionals.
How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at the centre, combining practical massage practice with underpinning theory. Assessment includes practical demonstrations of massage techniques assessed against VTCT standards, as well as written or oral assessments covering anatomy, physiology, and client care knowledge. You'll be assessed on real clients or models in a supervised setting.
