About this course

Level 3 Nail Technician Course in Derby. Classes run at The White Rose School of Beauty Derby, daytime with flexible attendance. Who this course is for

This qualification is designed for learners aged 16 years and over and will support you to gain employment as a nail technician, as the units contained in the qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role.

Entry requirements

Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 2 qualification in beauty therapy or nail services and/or a successful skills test and interview. You must be 16 or over to do this course via apprentice routes or 19 and over to complete this course via access to Advanced Learner Loans.

  • You'll carry out manicure and pedicure treatments to a professional standard.

  • You'll follow health, safety, and hygiene requirements in a salon environment.

How you will learn

You'll learn through practical, hands-on sessions in a classroom setting, building your skills through supervised treatment work. Assessment combines practical observations, where an assessor watches you carry out treatments, with written or online knowledge tests. You'll build a portfolio of evidence as you progress through the qualification.
