Level 3 Hairdressing Course in Ware. Classes run at Hertford Regional College Ware Campus, full-time over 35 weeks. You'll need a Level 2 hairdressing qualification to apply. The course covers creative cutting and colouring, perming, and colour correction. Entry requirements

To take on this course you will need:Have a Level 2 hairdressing qualification To demonstrate good attendance and timekeeping the ability to meet deadlines and have excellent skills developmentTo have a creative flair a genuine interest in the hairdressing industry good personal presentation and communication skillsWe welcome applicants who are already working in the industry and are looking to gain a new qualification.

What you will learn

  • You'll develop creative cutting techniques across a range of styles.
  • You'll apply colour, including creative colour and colour correction.
  • You'll carry out perming treatments.
  • You'll work with clients in a salon environment, handling bookings and consultations.
  • You'll build customer service and communication skills through daily client sessions.
  • You'll develop your business awareness within a working salon setting.

How you will learn

You'll be assessed on both your theory knowledge and practical skills throughout the year. Assessment takes place on an ongoing basis rather than in a single exam. You'll work in the college's on-site salon with members of the public, so your practical assessments happen in a working environment. Classroom sessions support the underpinning knowledge you need alongside your hands-on work.
