Who this course is for
The QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF) qualification is designed for individuals who wish to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace. Upon successful completion of this qualification, candidates will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give safe, prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations. As a regulated qualification, employers can book this course for their employees and rest assured that they have fulfilled their legal responsibilities for providing quality first aid training, without having to undertake any lengthy due diligence checks introduced in the recent HSE changes.

What you will learn
You'll learn how to assess an emergency scene and keep yourself and others safe.
You'll practise CPR on adults, including the use of an AED.
You'll learn how to help someone who is unconscious or unresponsive.
You'll learn how to manage choking in adults.
You'll learn how to control bleeding and treat wounds.
You'll learn how to recognise and respond to shock.
You'll learn how to record and report a first aid incident correctly.
How you will learn
The course is delivered in a classroom over one day at Middlesbrough Community Learning Service. You'll take part in practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises. Assessment is through a practical skills assessment and a short knowledge-based test. Both are completed on the day.
