Level 3 Assessor Course in Southend-on-Sea. Classes run at Central Training Academy, part-time during the day. The course is free if you don't already hold a full Level 3 qualification. If you do, fees may apply, though an Advanced Learner Loan could help cover the cost. This level 3 assessor qualification gives you the knowledge and skills to assess occupational competence in the workplace and work-related skills in training environments such as workshops and classrooms. Classes run over 6 months at a manageable pace.
Who this course is for
This is a practical-based qualification intended for learners 19 years and over who would like to be able to assess both occupational competence in the workplace, and work related skills in a training environment such as in a workshop, training centre or classroom. The course will give you the knowledge and skills required to assess work related learning to the required industry standards.
Entry requirements
You'll need to be occupationally competent in the work related area that you would like to assess and working as a trainee assessor with access to a cohort of learners from whom you can gather evidence of real assessments.

You'll need to be working as a trainee assessor with access to a group of learners throughout the course. A qualified assessor will observe your practice and review your evidence portfolio.

The centre will provide most materials. Central Training Academy will confirm anything else you need before you start. You will need to be in a trainee assessor role with access to learners you can assess as part of your evidence gathering.
