Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Course in Bristol. Classes run at South Bristol Skills Academy, part-time during the day, around four hours a week for one year. You also spend roughly one day a week in a school placement, building practical experience alongside your classroom study. The course covers the knowledge and skills needed to support teachers and pupils in primary or secondary schools. You'll need literacy skills at Level 1 or above, and a school placement arranged before you start.
Who this course is for
If you would like a member of your staff to gain a qualification as a Teaching Assistant, this is the course for you. It will give them the knowledge and experience to be able to work as a Teaching Assistant in a primary or secondary school. They will attend college for around four hours a week for one year plus they will spend around one day a week in school to gain practical experience in the role.
