This painting and decorating qualification gives you the craft knowledge and practical skills the industry expects. You'll cover surface preparation, paint application, and decorating techniques. The course can lead to employment as a painter and decorator or to an apprenticeship. Entry requirements include a good grasp of basic maths and English.

This qualification is a basic craft introduction to the Painting and Decorating industry. This course gives you the knowledge and skills to enable you to achieve a recognised Painting and Decorating trade qualification which could lead to employment or an apprenticeship.

Essential Requirements:--A good grasp of basic Maths and English--Desirable Requirements:--Achieved a level 1 qualification in Painting and Decorating--Achieved 3 GCSEs grade D and above including Maths and English--A strong commitment to adopt a 'work ready' approach, taking responsibility for your own development and behaviour--Completed 30 hours or more of work experience within the construction industry--An Information, Advice and Guidance session is not necessary - learners can direct enrol onto this course if they meet the entry requirement.
