About this course

Level 2 Functional Skills Maths Course. Work-based training at your workplace. You study alongside your job, working through real maths problems with an assessor. Funding may be available if you're 16 to 18 years old. If you're 19 or over, fees may apply. Your assessor builds your programme around an initial assessment, so the work is matched to your level. The course typically takes 12 months. Functional Skills Maths Level 2 is the recognised GCSE maths equivalent, accepted by employers and colleges when they ask for GCSE maths or equivalent.

Who this course is for

You will do work with your assessor covering scenarios using different maths problems based on an assessment completed at the start, leading to a test to complete the course.

Entry requirements

This course is for anyone who wants to update their skills through activities in these areas or to progress from a Level 1 qualification.
