About this course
Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work Course. Work-based training at your workplace. This one-day course trains you to act as an emergency first-aider in your organisation, meeting the requirements identified in a workplace first-aid needs assessment. You'll learn to respond to a range of emergency situations, from unconsciousness to bleeding and choking. The course is delivered at your workplace, so there's no need to travel to a training centre.
Who this course is for
This qualification is aimed at learners who wish to become emergency first-aiders in the workplace. This qualification meets the requirements for training emergency first-aiders in those organisations that have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first-aid needs assessment.
What you will learn
You'll learn how to manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing
You'll learn how to perform CPR on an adult
You'll learn how to treat a casualty who is choking
You'll learn how to control bleeding and treat wounds
You'll learn how to recognise and respond to shock
You'll learn how to manage minor injuries in a workplace setting
You'll learn how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED)
How you will learn
Training is practical and hands-on, carried out at your workplace over one day. You'll take part in scenario-based exercises and skills demonstrations. Assessment includes a practical skills assessment and a short knowledge check. Both are completed on the day.

The centre will provide most materials. PQMS Training will confirm anything else you need before you start.
