About this course

Level 2 Dementia Care Course. Study online, at your own pace, over 24 weeks. You'll build knowledge of dementia care principles, including person-centred care, communication methods, medication issues, and how to support people through meaningful activities. The course uses an e-learning package with tutor feedback throughout. You'll need reliable internet access and a device to study on, whether at home, at work, or at a library. This free dementia care course for adults leads to the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Dementia Care.

We have designed this course to support you with working in the care sector. Successful completion of this course will provide skills and knowledge required for job roles working in care and support. This course is designed to support 19+ learners progress into employment or further learning depending on needs and interests.

You will need good IT skills and access to a computer, laptop or tablet with regular and reliable internet connection. This can be at home, at work, or in a library.
