About this course

Level 2 Dementia Care Course. Study online at your own pace over 24 weeks. You use an e-learning package and work through it flexibly, so it fits around existing commitments without needing to travel to a centre. The course builds your knowledge of dementia care principles, including person-centred care, communication approaches, medication issues, and the role of activities in supporting people with dementia. You'll need good IT skills and regular internet access, whether at home, at work, or at a library. Concessions are available on the full course fee.

We have designed this course to support you with working in the care sector. Successful completion of this course will provide skills and knowledge required for job roles working in care and support. This course is designed to support 19+ learners progress into employment or further learning depending on needs and interests.

You will need good IT skills and access to a computer, laptop or tablet with regular and reliable internet connection. This can be at home, at work, or in a library. All study and assessment takes place online, so you need reliable internet access and a computer, laptop, or tablet.
