Level 1 Welding Course in Redhill. Evening welding classes run at East Surrey College, on Thursday evenings from 17:30 to 20:30. The course runs for 10 weeks and covers three core welding processes: TIG, MIG, and Manual Metal Arc welding. You'll also build essential health and safety knowledge alongside hands-on practical work. No previous welding experience is needed. This level 1 welding qualification is a strong starting point if you're new to the trade or working in it without formal training. City and Guilds Certificate in Introductory Welding Skills with certificate.

Entry requirements
Ideal for anyone who wants to become a welder and is new to welding, metal fabrication, thermal cutting and/or brazing and soldering.

How you will learn
Learning is hands-on and classroom based. You'll work through 10 practical assignments covering the three welding processes. You'll also complete 2 knowledge tests to show your understanding of techniques and safety. Classes run on Thursday evenings at East Surrey College. You'll need to bring your own safety footwear, engineering overalls, safety glasses, and a welding helmet is recommended.
