Develop your creative skills and understanding of the exciting world of creative glass. Learn how to build a portfolio of samples using different techniques including cutting skills, and layering with inclusions such as foils, frits and stringers. During this course we use warm glass firing techniques to join and slump glass into moulds. We look at how to be creative with designs and then progress into planning and making a piece of your own creation. Throughout the course you will build a portfolio of samples, pieces and working notes.

Please be aware that this course is a generic qualification used to deliver this specific subject. However, it is also used to deliver other subjects and for this reason learners who do more than one arts or crafts course at the same level may not be funded or certificated for the subsequent course(s). Cornwall Adult Education will carry out checks for each application and will contact learners if there is an issue.
