The NOCN Level 1 Award and Certificate in Employability are aimed at those learners who:

  • are not in education or training;
  • are serving, or have recently served, a custodial or community sentence and need intensive preparation for employment.

Entry requirements

The minimum age for access to the qualification is 16 because the qualifications are focused on preparation for entering employment. There are no formal entry requirements for learners undertaking this qualification

How you will learn

You'll learn in a classroom at MIT Skills West Byfleet. The course is made up of mandatory and optional units. You must complete units worth at least 7 credits in total. Four credits come from the mandatory group and at least three from the optional group. Assessment is unit-based, covering the skills and knowledge in each unit you choose.
