Level 1 Construction Skills Course in Stroud. Classes run at SGS Stroud Campus, full-time during the day.

Fees apply for this course. Students aged 16 to 18 years old pay a significantly reduced fee. If you are 19 or over, concessions may be available. The course runs for around 378 hours of study. You'll cover core construction skills across several trades, including health and safety, working with tools, and practical site tasks.

You'll finish with a City and Guilds Certificate in Construction Skills at Level 1.

Who this course is for

Most full-time courses at SGS are for learners aged 16-18 with some provision available for those aged 14 plus on request. If you are aged 19 and over then formal qualifications that are a prerequisite for younger age groups may not be suitable. How you will learn

You'll learn through hands-on practical sessions in the classroom and workshop. Tutors will guide you through trade skills and site safety. Assessment is through practical tasks and short written or knowledge-based activities. You'll be assessed on what you can do as well as what you know.
