The Level 2 Certificate in Assisting Veterinary Surgeons in Monitoring Anaesthetised and Sedated Companion Animals qualification has been designed for learners whose role includes assisting Veterinary Surgeons in the care of companion animals (canines and felines) undergoing sedation or anaesthesia. Learners will be working within a veterinary care environment, holding either employed or voluntary positions. This regulated qualification is aimed at those who wish to expand their underpinning knowledge and practical skills in relation to assisting in the monitoring of sedated or anaesthetised companion animals, under the direction, supervision and guidance of a Veterinary Surgeon.
The units contained within this qualification have been rigorously developed to include the essentials for working within the sector legally, professionally and ethically, whilst supporting the development of theoretical knowledge, complemented by the necessary practical skills and techniques.
