The purpose of this programme is to introduce the theory, concepts and the science behind Solar Thermal (hot water) technologies, including the fundamental concepts of solar energy, heating, health and safety, solar thermal circuits, legislation and how solar thermal systems are designed, installed, maintained and commissioned. This programme is suitable for learners with an interest in sustainable technologies and those who wish to develop the skills necessary for a career in this industry (including those learners studying engineering, plumbing, construction and multi-skills).
