Free Teaching Assistant Level 3 Course in Mansfield. Evening teaching assistant classes run at West Notts College, so you can study around work or other commitments. Who this course is for

This course will recognise and develop the skills of those who already work with children and young people within an educational setting. You may be employed or volunteering as a teaching assistant, cover supervisor, bilingual support assistant, subject support assistant, special educational needs assistant or wish to become a volunteer teaching assistant within a school or college. On successful completion of this course students will be awarded the CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning (Teaching Assistant).

Entry requirements

This course is only available to those aged 19 years and over. Completion of the Teaching Assistant and Early Years Educator - Fast Track to Level 3 11-week induction course and a satisfactory DBS check if you're not currently in employment within an early years or foundation stage classroom environment. Or you're already employed within a primary school, secondary school or college.

How you will learn

Classes are held in the evening at West Notts College. You'll learn through classroom sessions covering each topic area in the programme. Assessment is based on your work in and around an educational setting, so you'll need to be employed or volunteering in a school or college environment while you study. A DBS check is required if you are not already working in an early years or foundation stage setting.
